Kick Like a Girl with Sifu Cheyenne ~ March 4th 2024

March 4th, Sifu Cheyenne LaChapelle came to Maynard to run a femmes-only Kung Fu class.

Sifu Cheyenne trains and teaches in Auburn MA, alongside her father, Sifu Gary. She is an avid competitor who is a many-time Grand Champion of both forms and sparring at a wide variety of tournaments, large and small. She is a member of the Association of Women Martial Arts Instructors. 

In a male-dominated sport like martial arts, we believe it’s important to create a space where people in the minority of that community can train in a way that makes them feel safe and seen.

The class was well-received by the students and we’ll be planning more in the future!
