Black Sash Test - August 3rd 2024

Saturday August 3rd, eleven students tested for their black sashes:

The test was presided over by eight Sifus:

• Sifu Gary J. LaChapelle Jr. (Kung Fu & Tai Chi Academy of New England)

• Sifu Cheyenne LaChapelle (Kung Fu & Tai Chi Academy of New England)

• Shifu Eliot Prisby (Metrowest Kung Fu)

• Sifu Umar Arrastia (Dragon Gate Kung Fu Academy)

• Sijo Michael DiMaggio (Nan Bei Wu Kwan Cape Cod)

• Sifu Eric Lecuyer (Dragon Gate Kung Fu Academy)

• Sifu Daniel Ostrow (Tat Wong Kung Fu Academy)

• Sifu Karim-Ben Saunders (Full Circle Tai Chi and Qigong)

The students were tested by their Sifus, as well as several black belts who generously offered their time and energy for sparring:

• Sihing Clayton Burke (Nan Bei Wu Kwan Cape Cod)

• Anthony Casella (Full Circle Tai Chi and Qigong)

• Simu Victoria DiMaggio (Nan Bei Wu Kwan Cape Cod)

• Tim Freeman (Full Circle Tai Chi and Qigong)

The students were also supported by numerous classmates and family members. They were pushed to their absolute limits and beyond, and they shined brilliantly. The event was intense; physically and emotionally demanding, but also joyous and supportive.
